Those movies are excellent- and if I were picking my list of "best" in terms of innovation, or excellence, rather than on the basis of movies I watch over and over, I would have picked several of those- including Taxi Driver, Apocalypse, Black Orpheus (did you see Orfeu? I might put that on as well. You MUST see Orfeu if you haven't. It was FANTASTIC>) Chinatown, The Graduate and Dr. Strangelove. BTW, I got Tristram Shandy!!! Am so excited. I'll let you know how it is as soon as we've seen it.
