Oh gosh I forgot "The Big Chill" and "Sideways" for my 10.
Shame on me.
Picking just 10 is not fair.

I didn't really mean to limit you. I'd love to read your top 100- I just didn't want to put too much pressure on people. Remember, I posted a list a long time ago that I had made up for friends that had about 100 movies on it- organized by country of origin. I will read all the recommendations for movies, or all the lists, you want to make up. I love lists.

I guess movies reflect what one wants to see in themselves, their own experiences, and those with their family and friends..

My favorites tend to be the ones that I think could not possibly interest me, like those about a drifter in post-apocalyptic times, or a young chess prodigy, but which nevertheless draw me in and then haunt me for years afterwards.

Pretty good list, coug, except for Sideways. What did you like about that one? I cared so little about the characters I could hardly stay awake. And that spit bucket scene was more gross than funny. There are wines cheaper than the ticket with more redeeming qualities.
