These are real nice. Danny Boy is my favorite right now, probably because of the war.

"I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" - Cowboy Junkies
"Cold, Cold Heart" - Lucinda Williams
"Today I Started Loving You Again" - Merle Haggard
"I Love You So" - Don McClean
"And I Love Him" - Esther Phillips
"Cold Cold Heart" - Norah Jones
"Crazy" - Diana Krall
"A Blossom Fell" - Diana Krall
"Danny Boy" - New Coon Creek Girls
"Funny How Time Slips Away" - Willie Nelson

There is a version of "I Have Always Been Crazy" that was recorded on Austin City Limits. The band Jennings used is unbelievable. I think Anne would like it.

haqui, I knew I was on your side! Looking at your list of good ol' songs, we're on the same page. Hank Sr, Hank Snow, Tex Ritter, and Don Edwards. Now you're talkin' REAL music!!

Every song that you mention I am familiar with, they help to define who we are as Westerners.

Music defines this beautiful country like nothing else. It is of the people and for the people and there isn’t a damn thing they can do about it.

An English lawyer in London wrote Danny Boy. The Irish stole it from him and claimed it as their own. That's why their faces are always red. They always get caught.<G>
