I think you're premature in saying that. Given the extent of manipulation that we've seen with hedge funds, the potential is there for collusion. They are so desperate for returns that justify their huge fees that you really think they are above manipulative activity????

It will be interesting to see the defense filings by the prime brokers in the case brought BY THE HEDGE FUNDS and CLAIMING NAKED SHORT SCAMMING.

No doubt, the hedge funds and the prime brokers will be pointing fingers at each other, each claiming the other KNEW about the Naked Shorting.

I don't know why you would say it's a "black eye". If anything this confirms that Naked Short Scamming exists and it is not just a bunch of paranoid conspiracy theorists. If anything, those who are running and hiding now are looking like they wear tinfoil hats as the truth is coming out.
