then I don't think I've seen Lime Light. But I know I've seen City Lights. Apparently it wasn't very memorable for me. I know Chaplin was a genius, but he just leaves me cold- so does Kubrick for the most part. I could never figure out how to enjoy Birth of a Nation either, or Triumph of the Will. I can see them as technical achievements, and I can see them as innovative, I just can't seem to enjoy them. I think I've seen only a couple silent movies that were enjoyable for me. They just don't appeal to me.
