Mickey Mouse Unemployed Disney To Cut Work Force, Film Releases -Report >DIS . NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Walt Disney Co. (DIS) is to announce soon that it will cut back the number of films it releases and will make a substantial work force reduction, Variety reported on its Web site Wednesday. The company will cut back to about eight the number of films it makes annually from about 18 at present, and will "substantially" reduce its work force, Variety reported.
