I thought one of the really interesting graphs Gore used was auto emission standards/year, for various countries, + California. He points out that our cars are too dirty to sell anywhere else. But higher standards are bad for business.

The oil companies can only work on the Alaskan pipeline, and those fields up there, when the tundra is frozen. Otherwise the land eats the trucks. They had records of the number of days worked, probably going back to Prudhoe Bay. As it heats up there, they have dropped from about 250 days to 75 days per year. I'm not sure of the exact numbers; didn't take notes.
