"We dissipated all the patriotism after 9/11 when I think the Country was a nation was pulled together as one just like after Pearl Harbor...."

Words of wisdom, Suma. When Bush said, "I hear you. The whole world hears you" while standing on the rubble of the Twin Towers, he owned the world. Everything from that point onward has been a decline in his approval and acceptance.

As I've stated before, I also disagreed with the invasion of Iraq at the time. But once the attack began, the country was committed, if you'll pardon the term, it was a "tipping point." <G> And, like CB said on a different subject, it is a point of fight or die now, not only for the US, but also for the Iraqis.

Then was then, and now is now. It does little good to expound on the invasion being a mistake, it can't be undone. And Bush will never be president again, so what counts is what happens next, not crucifying him or us for what might have been.
