I think it is rude to talk about posters on other threads. If people want to post somewhere you can engage them, but to drag people's names or posts to other threads is wrong, imo. There is nothing to discuss. You discussed someone and their post in a forum where they were not posting- that is wrong (imo). That is all there is to it. It has nothing to do with what is said- unless it is praise. I assume people do not mind being praised even in absentia. I could be wrong about that, but so far no one has told me it bothers them.
