What d I mean? Well, as far back as I can remember, oil and auto have fought anything which came along. The end result is that our cars are so polluting that we can only sell them here,and maybe Canada. And, in a few years, not even in Cal, and Ma and a few others who have piggybacked on our standards. Lost a lot of jobs that way. When Reagan took Carter's solar panels off the WH and allowed his tax credits for alt en to expire, what happened? Alt en basically died here. But elsewhere? My solar panels are from Japan, the mounts from SK , my inverter from Germany. Wire and 4x4 and the disconnects are the only "born in the USA" components. Everybody buys German and Danish windmills, Japanese panels, whatever. We have no manufacturers, no infrastructure (silicon manufacturers; it's in short supply now). We have nothing. Except a bill for imported oil. We blew it behind the mantra "It would be bad for business". Well, yeah...GM and Ford are going belly up, Chrysler is German, American Motors isn't. They were right; bad for business. And so a lot of jobs aren't here. I don't think we are even trying to sell pollution control equipment to China. And cuz the rest of the world didn't think Kyoto was bad for business, while we did, we won't be able to sell them much of anything in the way of durable goods. Including aeroplanes.

1. For the umpteenth time, don't use words you cannot define or understand. Define liberalism. 2. Are Clinton/Gore liberals? Crime has been dropping for a decade all over the country. 3. Your opinions have no merit. You have no factual support or reasoned analysis based on those facts. Provide FACTS not rightwing ignorant blather. Where are the exact policies? What was the intent behind them, what were conditions before them and the results after them? Did Republicans support them, did conservative Democrats support them? FACTS, not rightwing ignorant OPINIONS. You show your utter laziness and ignorance every time you post. 4. During the time the minimum wage has NOT been increased, CEO pay has gone up 73% and Congress' has gone up 24%. The President's has gone up 100%. 80% of those affected by minimum wage are adults and the vast (I think it's over 80%) of small biz owners want to raise it. 5. Republicans have pushed through and are still trying to push through massive transfers of wealth from the poor, the middle class and the upper middle class to the ultra wealthy. First it was the massive tax cuts for the ultrawealthy and just recently the attack on the estate tax that affects only one quarter of 1% of estates. Republicans are THIEVES. 6. FACTS not OPINIONs. Facts are hard, opinions are easy which is why you have only opinions. Stop being so lazy.
