Israel does not have a viable solution. Instead, the situation will continue to fester, making Israel that much less attractive as a place to move to, or do business in, or visit. All these things contribute to the demographic time bomb that will eventually make Israel an Arab state.

So in your opinion, is there a solution? I don't see why an ethnic state & birth control can't be on the table. I do think that Israel needs a border much closer to that of 1967 or even 1948, but the Arabs must enforce peace if they get those borders.

The US is not doing Israel a favor by training Arabs to destroy modern armor in Iraq.

That is certainly one of the ironies of this Iraq adventure. The Jewish people I know who have supported Bush did so because they believed that somehow this Iraq war made Israel safer. I told them long ago that if the US succeeds in doing what they said they were going to do--train a proper Iraqi army--it would make Israel far less safe, not safer; that the US would be training enemies of Israel and, indeed, of the US, and that it would be that training that would spread to other Arab countries, not "democracy" or "freedom", those words that Bush loves to say with a smile as though he has thought long and deeply about these matters, lol.

But no, they closed their eyes and pretended otherwise, as though armies must do as their trainers tell them. As though "gratitude" to the Americans would somehow make most Iraqis pro-Israel.

God, so idiotic.
