Come on. No you don't. South Africa under apartheid was democratic. Black people just didn't get to vote.

Don't get semantical with me.. I stated democratic SYSTEMS.. A system of government that is democratic and accountable to every citizen.. not just a particular faction or party.

Blacks could vote in S. Africa, from what I recall.. They were just prevented from enjoying the same benefits as whites (primarily because whites believed they would have to subsidize the far poorer black population.

And while it was not perfect, there was pressure brought upon them internationally to change their laws and included the black populations into the government so the government represented the entire population.

This would ONLY have been possible were S. Africa a democratic system. A totalitarian state would NEVER permit such an opposition to arise to its rule.

The same can be said for Israel. Arabs in Israel can vote, but they are under represented in government. I believe its important to rectify this over time and that is something that international pressure can bring about.

However, throwing out the baby with the bath water by supporting a war of aggression against Israel by totalitarian minded religious fanatics is not the answer either.

That's an easy question. It is the ONLY country in the Middle East that the populations of every other country in the Middle East want removed from the Middle East. Next question?

Are you against diversity? I'm sure many Native Americans would like all immigrants in the US to leave as well.

And Arabs expelled almost 1 million Jews from their countries and they had no where else to turn but seeking refugee status in Israel.

In fact, the reality is that in Europe and other countries, they have tried to exterminate Jews, not just kick them out.

It's the entire reason that Israel was founded..

Thus, I hardly believe that artificial Arab states, dominated by despots who have dominated neighboring tribes in their quest for power, have a lot of room to talk.

Especially when they aren't even democratic.
