Why take a chance with another candidate who inherited her fame and name recognition from a previous president?

Because Bill Clinton was a known quantity, and a lot of people miss him and wish he was back. Because everybody knows that Hillary was the brains of that duo (not that Bill's stupid).

I don't think it's true that Americans don't like dynastic politics, we just don't like the idea of someone assuming that they have a right to a position based on birth.

But when you've got two people like Bill and Hillary who both struggled up together from less-than-advantageous backgrounds, it's not at all the same thing as an extremely rich and powerful senator anointing his extremely rich son president, who anoints, in turn, his own extremely rich son president. (Prescott Bush to George Bush to George W. Bush.) Not to mention the Kennedys, the Longs, the Daleys, the Landrieus, and other families I am not familiar with.

There is no basis to claim that Americans do not like dynastic politics. Two occasions in the past, 2000 and 2004, proved quite the contrary. And the general dissatisfaction with Bush Jr. has nothing to do with Bush Sr. On the contrary, Jr. has made it a point to let people know that he has nothing to do with Sr. politically even though many amongst us wish he consulted Sr. as a former President than as his father.

Lastly, Mrs. Clinton is a career woman in her own right. She did not inherit anything from her husband politically. She finds herself where she is today , a Senator from NY, not because of her husband but because of the people of NY who are smart folks.
