Although I supported the war initially, mostly I think today that other options were available, and that "W" was not so very clever.

As we see Iran's intentions unfolding, I have to wonder if the "W" team didn't display unusually brilliant foresight. Iran is a real pain in the fanny. Of course one could argue that if the US had its foreign policy act together 30 years ago, Iran would be a modern rational democracy today, or that Iran is merely acting prudently when it sees foreign forces on its east (Afghanistan) and west (Iraq) sides.

The wonderful thing about investing in this sector is that you have to understand all these factors. That is what makes it volatile, and the volatility is what makes it profitable - if you are on your toes.
