They aren't exceptions. It's a clear distinction between being personal and talking about ideas. If you include names or actual posts you bring up a specific person, if you discuss an idea you don't. So we'll just disagree about your interpretation of the "rule"- since your post makes it clear you don't appear to understand the rule. It's about being personal, and if you don't get that, you won't understand the rule at all. Now you could argue that it's fine to be personal, but I won't agree with you.
