The one thing the administration did NOT want was for these guys to have the right to habeas corpus. I understand that. What I was engaging was the abstract question of how best to classify and dispose of these hybrid prisoners. There are basically three ways, I think, each with multiple components, four if you consider not taking them prisoner in the first place. It's part of a pattern. We can both snipe at where the administration is coming from and the way they have handled things--I seriously doubt that you can find more fault with them than I--but that's a separate matter.
