How would you approach trying to end the tactic of terrorism?

Are you sure you don't want to know how I would end world hunger, prove there is/isn't a god, and turn common metals into gold while I'm at it?

I said that it's possible for terrorism to die out. Things do die out. You don't find college kids squeezing into phone booths or swallowing goldfish any more. If the tactic becomes less useful, those who employ it less hostile, or if some better tactic comes along, it will die out.

I don't necessarily see any of that happening. And I sure don't claim to have some grand plan on how to wipe it out.

I do know one thing, though, that could only help and that is that we could manage to act less terrified. Stiff upper lip would be a step in the right direction, IMO. Terrorism loses its punch when the victims fail to be terrified.
