They don't like being thought of as hysterical, but they don't want to give up their hysteria, and they want to insist one act of terrorism "changed everything". I'm just never going to get that. It seemed like such a clear example of giving the terrorists a big win. I mean in boxing I assume that when an opponent lands a good punch to your jaw (but one that isn't a knockout) you don't go screaming around the ring screaming that the punch changes everything. But I don't watch boxing. Maybe that's a bad analogy. Maybe it happens all the time.
