Just some good-natured kidding. I too have been a branch office guy, and have been "downsized" four times myself. Typical for a developer working in startups. By the fourth time, I actually went in for my exit interview with a big smile, just glad to know my fate and know that my future was a blank slate in my own hands again! And quite honestly, with no hard feelings. Corps gotta do what corps gotta do, crying or bitching doesn't change anything, it just makes you personally look bad.
