Don't you take people at their word, especially if they continue saying the same things all the time? Seriously, if you were in charge, what would you do with the present situation in which the world finds itself? Hey KLP... Like I said. My application was rejected by the nominating committees of all parties. <g> But if it had been accepted... and considering my lack of patience and affinity for decisive solutions I can only imagine 2 alternatives to actually "fix" the current problems. 1) Tell everybody to sit down and shut up or I'll haul in about 100 sq. miles of nickle/iron alloy, with just a smidgen of cobalt and iridium, wrapped in a cool jacket of filthy carbon and ice, at around 26K miles per second and bash this ball to bits... or 2) Surprise everyone by opening up a trans singularity about 30K miles out on the dark side, just beyond the lunar disk, and dump about 200M flesh eating, blood sucking *ALIEN Predator* shock troops in 200K Galactic Battle Cruisers (Yes... they are huge) that Secretary Rumsfeld would just die for. Right now it's tough to say which one I'd settle on. There's a certain natural justice in number one that I like, but then number two offers some real excitement that I might not be able to pass up. Neither one is particularly original of course. But it's really tough to take yourself out of history's remorseless cycles. But no matter what KLP... I can assure you that after I had applied my "fix" I would be very very sorry and I'm quite certain I would miss each and every one of you. Be you "Lost Boy" or "Barbarian." I'd probably break down and bring you back... after a billion years or so. Although, next time I think I'd make you Horses... or possibly Wheaton Terriers... If I could teach you to comb your own fur coats that is. I like them a lot too. <g> But never... under any circumstances... would I let you be predators with a sense of self and knowledge of the concepts of right and wrong. Never! That's about the dumbest thing I ever heard of. And I hope the whacko who came up with it has to pay all the psychiatric fees and clean up the mess you folks made of things 'cause I'm NOT doing it. <Hoo><ack><Hoo> 0\|0 P.S. Don't get too carried away with "Lost Boys" KLP. They may be cute and cuddly now... but they are predators too. Sooner or later they will want to eat.
