Peter, No, he was as frugal as a Scrooge when it came to cars.

In two instances, I found that a brand new car can cause problems, but that was because I bought them at the beginning of the model year. The maker has not gotten all the kinks out of them yet. Don't buy a new car until July, or August, of the model year. You will have fewer problems.
