Nah, not more than I wanted to know..I'm ignorant with a capital I on these software thingies.. Quietness is indeed an issue.. we(Marc, actually,) had a Dell laptop that his job provided..it was pretty dang loud..and it's only at night that I could hear the burply sounds... Know what most wants me to stay with ThinkPad?..it's that 3yr warranty..and because I'm a frequent flyer, somehow I get free pickup and delivery from whereever..NorthAmerica, Europe, etc..it's come in handy a coupla' times over the years..replaced a keyboard last year(that I spilled tea on).. I'm gonna' use 2 'puters after the new purchase..the current Tpad for internet use and important files(pix) that I invariably need to share over the internet which I'll transfer to the 'clean' puter which will never get on the cyber-road..see how this works....wonder if these hackers are one and the same as the makers of all this anti-spyware/virus programs...........yes, cynic I am! Elisabeth..aren't the graphics/sounds majorly kool these days?
