need to find a few window box flowers that won't die

I've had good success with plastic flowers from Michael's or other supply places. They don't require watering, pruning, feeding, spraying, bug control, or any of the hundred other things that are needed to keep the buds budding. <g>

The bees, however, are not amused.

Honor, a bag of bull manure might be of help in beefing up the planting soil in the window boxes. But first be sure that the accompanying windows are aroma-proof ... ;)

Hiya...

Schweetie called and requested I go find a large, ripe, ice cold watermelon and have it at the shop when they get in this afternoon when they come in. Heat index over 100 degrees today and they are pouring a huge driveway. I had no problem with that and mission accomplished! :)
I've rewarded myself for a job well done with a tropical smoothie at Sonic...yummy! (and if I was sure it was 5:00 somewhere, I'd add some Bacardi...which makes it an even better reward!)

re: flowers?
I'm thinking Chuck has the right idea...and Michaels has silk stems for 50% off this week!

Actually, you didn't mention how much maintenence you wanted to invest in these window boxes. If you're gonna care for them daily, then put whatever you want out there! They'll know you love them and grow. :)
