I see. You mean corporate spending as opposed to consumer spending. If I were you, I would call that corporate spending, because most people consider Capital Spending to be equipment purchases, thus not inclusive of many things corporations buy, such as software and services. As one guy pointed out Semi Capital Spending is currently going through the roof because semi companies are buying loads of fabrication EQUIPMENT.

Capital Expenditure - CAPEX - are funds used by a company to acquire or upgrade physical assets such as property, industrial buildings or equipment.
