Remember when gas was supposedly "expensive" at $2.00/gallon? That was in 2004, and Kerry was blasting Bush at the time for not tapping the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

It was expensive...and it is more expensive now.

Look at where gas is now. Good thing Bush waited. Had we listened to the spineless reactionaries like Gore or Kerry, the reserves would now be empty and we'd be even more dependent on foreign oil than before.

LOL...empty...that's a good one. We've come a long way in little more than a few republican years.

If I understand correctly, don't we refill the reserves after we've used them?

With each passing day, you make less and less sense. FYI. When there is a drawdown from the SPR, there are provisions made to replace that oil. I think we've had one drawdown and it was replaced long ago. Not only are you setting up strawmen but you are swinging at windmills.

Yup. A very good thing.......can you imagine how his good buds have prospered? Can you imagine the job he will get when he leaves office for service well done?

Personally, I don't think the SPR should be tapped at the drop of a hat but to give credit for not doing so is looking for ways to make a bad president look decent. Sorry but I am not buying it primarily because the conservative and conscientous thinking that is an important ingredient in deciding to 'bite the bullet' and not draw done from the SPR is nowhere evident anywhere else in this administration and the policies and actions it has implemented to date. In other words, Bush lucked out on this particular issue...nothing more.

Ten, let me repeat for you because I know you have comprehension problems when it comes to this particular issue.........Bush is, by far, the worst American president in the past 100 years and probably for the entire time the US has been a nation. Most of us in the world know it and accept it much to our ongoing sadness, frustration and concern.
