OK Well, let me think about your definition. It presumes that some threads are full of "bees". Is that not an insult to a thread, to assume it's inhabitants would react like insects? Obviously if someone said something very rude, most people would respond (but one would hope they would respond in a measured way, since we teach by example)- so I think I would hope that if someone comes with a stick to whack a thread the inhabitants would react in a polite, yet firm, manner that encouraged the interloper to either shape up, or leave. Simply refusing to talk to someone who does not meet your requirements for polite conversation often serves to fix most situations. IMO, of course.
