"Let's open up drilling in those Florida offshore waters."

Don't forget to let American oil companies make money in Cuban waters, too, (just over the Florida line....)

Why should we let European and Chinese and Canadian oil companies make all the money because of our own stupid ban?

Actually they have just agreed to allow drilling on the West coast up to 125 miles offshore. There is no protection, as I understand it on the East Coast. So you know, Fla. gets 85 MILLION TOURISTS annually. Many come for the beaches and that is why the State works so hard to protect them. Personally, I am willing to take the chance and allow drilling but I understand the hesitancy. jdn
