IB made it on my final list of three brokers along with TOS and OptionsXpress. I really liked IB's low prices and international exposure. However, in the end I went with TOS because of the experience of their employees, their software platform, and the small broker feel. Choosing a broker is a personal matter somewhat like choosing a car. Currently TOS was just a better match for me at this point in time. If I had more experience with option strategies I probably would have gone with IB and the lower prices. I find it comforting to know I can pick up the phone and have them help me execute an option strategy at the same price as if I did it online. They see as one of their roles, helping their clients become better traders. I appreciate that.
