*OT* It amazes me that Barron's still can't or doesn't update prices to the week's close for its articles.

They (Dow Jones & Co.) could look at how their Marketwatch.com does it.

Is that insert a box insert or a separately printed on glossy paper insert?

I am very glad they have the black macbook on the article because the distributors just got a bunch of those in, yesterday. There are about 1000 black macbooks available at the warehouses, and Best Buy and Compusa have them and probably everybody else. The White ones are still completely absent. JR still has some white macbooks but they are the only one I can find, and they removed the free shipping from the white models even though their standard is free shipping for all over $1K items (they still have free shipping on the black).

The accessories are all running out of stock also, these are things like the magsafe power adapter.

BTW whoever asked why I think ASPs will rise- it is because the 17" Macbook pro is the #4 seller behind the macbooks at a lot of sites. Not really sure if it means anything, just a guess.

(of course it is a little scary aligning myself with barrons, since they were so completely wrong on Google, if you'd listened to barron's you would have sold the GOOG low)

MCHJC -

Well would you look at that? Barron's is saying that Macs are going to deliver the next wave of gains. Somebody finds computer sales interesting, because they will generate earnings growth.

What a concept. Who would ever have thought of that? ;-)

That's certainly an encouraging story, and I hope they're right. I'm not selling below 90.
