I think you'll find it safe to conclude that authoritarians are authoritarians, which is a tautology, and doesn't require further research, although you might find it interesting to read about the authoritarian personality, use those words in google.

But the argument that conservatives have some special propensity to be authoritarians can be easily dismissed by looking at history, no further than events in your own life, Stalin and Mao vs. Maggie Thatcher.
