I understand and agree with your position but...

The UN, Iran, and Syria inaction has resulted in Israel dealing with Hamas and Hezbollah. Israel is pissed so I think the proper course of action would be Iran to tell their surrogates to cool it. Yet Iran continues their rhetoric of "wiping Israel from the face of the earth"...

Israel will not allow anyone to shoot rockets at them from souther Lebanon anymore.

Yes, but when you're countries, it's not the same as when you're individuals.

Millions of innocent people are affected by this; gotta consider them.

They had the senators from NM [dem] and CT [gop] on CNN. Listening to them was like listening to stepford people. While they thought there was a lot of destruction, implicit in their commentary was the underlyng belief that the Lebanese were getting everything they deserve. Only Richardson of NM "wished" that C. Rice had left earlier for the ME. There was no real reaction to the level of damage and deaths. Its like these people have no understanding of pain and deprivation.

And then the senator from CT said that the poor Israeli people think and behave like western people. They [the Israelis] thought that if they left Lebanon and Gaza, the Arabs would respect that move and live in peace with them. Instead, the Arabs see withdrawal as a sign of weakness. How many times have we heard that thing about Arabs and weakness......such BS. Its like they are talking about animals or children.

They have no sense of the dispute in the ME. They have no understanding that Israel had been occupying Lebanese and Gaza land, and what that must have been like for the Palestinians and Lebanese. I don't know......I guess I don't recognize are leaders as even being human. They are like caricatures of what humans should be. The reporters seem more real. Very scary!
