Ahmadinejad: Israeli State on Par with Nazis

In America, where the Christian Zionists are now praying for more mass murder in Lebanon so they can entertain their pretrib nonsense, the corporate media is not only underestimating the number of dead (see the Wayne Madsen Report), they also refuse to report the horrific nature of the Israeli terror bombings, akin to the Nazi Luftwaffe terror bombing against the Basque city of Guernica.
If you have a strong stomach, take a look at this page over at the Angry Arab News Service. Hanady Salman, an editor at As-Safir, took photographs of the gruesome and criminal result of Israelis targeting civilian vehicles in southern Lebanon.
“Fifteen people, including a number of children, were killed Saturday in an Israeli air strike in southern Lebanon, Lebanese police said,” reports CBC News, making sure not to post photos of the carnage. “Those killed were fleeing the village of Marwaheen in two vehicles that were travelling along a coastal road, according to police.” Recall the Israelis leafleting the people of southern Lebanon, warning them to flee, only to shoot them like fish in a barrel. Disgusting and criminal, no different than what the Nazis did when they invaded their militarily inferior neighbors.
As well as attacking helpless refugee children, a direct and serious violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention, the Israelis are now shooting up journalists, behavior quite common for them.
“Reporter Bassel al-Aridi, cameraman Abd Khayyat and assistant cameraman Ziad Sarwan of television station New TV were wounded when their vehicle was hit by Israeli helicopter fire as they crossed a bridge in the south of the country during an Israeli offensive, according to Reporters Without Borders,” reports United Press International. “News TV said the Lebanese journalists’ vehicle was clearly marked with the company insignia when the strike occurred. The three men recovered consciousness in a hospital outside Beirut and are now in stable condition.” Of course, this shouldn’t be surprising, as the Israelis not only kill journalists, they also shoot up ambulances and kill medical workers, as do their American counterparts in Iraq.
“Israel must put an immediate end to attacks against civilians and against civilian infrastructure in Lebanon, which constitute collective punishment. Israel must also respect the principle of proportionality when targeting any military objectives or civilian objectives that may be used for military purposes,” declares Malcolm Smart, Director of Amnesty International’s Middle East Program. “Human Rights Watch said international humanitarian law requires armed forces distinguish between combatants and civilians, and between military objects and civilian objects, at all times. It is also forbidden to carry out indiscriminate attacks or attacks that cause damage disproportionate to the anticipated concrete military advantage.”
In particular, Israel is in violation of Article 3 of the Geneva Convention for the Protection of Civilians, but then of course the Israelis and the Americans don’t do the Geneva Conventions.
If justice and sanity ever returns to the world, Olmert and his generals (and Bush and his generals) will be prosecuted under Article 49 of the same convention.
I’m not holding my breath.
Obviously, HRW and Amnesty International do not understand Israeli military policy, designed to kill Arab civilians (including the incineration of babies—see above link) and impose collective punishment. It can be factually stated that the Israeli state has imposed collective punishment on the Palestinians for more than half a century.
Iran’s Ahmadinejad has it right: Israel’s military strikes on Gaza and Lebanon are no different from tactics used by Adolph Hitler during World War II. “Their methods resemble Hitler’s. When Hitler wanted to launch an attack, he came up with a pretext,” Ahmadinejad said in a speech, reports the Tehran Times. “Zionists say they are Hitler’s victims, but they have the same nature as Hitler,” or at least the Zionists in control of Israel are no different than Hitler.
“It is a new Nazism that made a kidnapped Israeli soldier worth killing Palestinians on a daily basis since June 25. It is a new Nazism that makes Israel practice the same savagery in Lebanon. This reminds us of the Nazis’ insistence on killing 10 or 20 Jews for the killing of a single Nazi soldier,” writes Jihad el-Khazen for al-Hayat. “Those who support Israel today are partners in its Nazi crimes against the Lebanese and the Palestinians. They share the responsibility for triggering counter terrorism, which we had not known before the brutality of occupation. The US bears the biggest share of this responsibility because, by its blind support for Israel, it has created a new Nazi regime.”
Can’t argue there, although I wouldn’t say a lot of supporters of Israel, especially the above mentioned Christian Zionists and of course the neocons and the wannabe neocons, are “blind” to what Israeli is doing—they wholeheartedly support it because, for many of them, Arabs simply don’t count, they are sub-human, stand in the way of their selfish pretrib rapture or, in the case
