Well, obviously Israel doesn't really act on that principle. If they did, they would be carpet bombing Gaza and Southern Lebanon. They have the power to do it easily. But you must not fall into the opposite error, of expecting Israel to fight a terrorist enemy yet somehow never kill a civilian, when the terrorists put their weapons in apartment highrises and hospitals. Or do you expect Israel to just lie there and take it, as a sign of their moral purity? You have to know how Hizbullah would interpret that. It's a no-brainer.

I'll repeat this point. History very clearly demonstrates that trying to combat fanatical terrorists with violence creates more new fanatical terrorists. It's a never ending cycle.


I see. So fighting the Japanese kamikazes just produced more of them? You want to think about that one some more?
