Exactly, the influx of wealth sure isn't helping the Pals. However, the governments allow the psychos to spread intolerance and chaos since it does everything to support their revenue base.

Whatever the case, I'm really glad that the US has military bases all over Turkey, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and every square inch of the ME where we are welcome. It makes it impossible for Iran to execute their military threats.

The whole destabilization of the Israel border is being overblown by the press that is completely incapable of understanding self defense. They are blowing the whole situation out of control to sell fear to people thinking that military escalation is a real threat. I can't imagine the Iranians sneaking past the Turks as being a plausible threat to Israel.

US containment policies in the ME are much more effective than they are given credit for, which is why Bin Laden waged war against the US in the first place. However, it's just as well that credit is never given where it is due. We would have more liberals complaining about US intervention, and waving their jihadis sympathy flags.
