Oops - missed the just kidding...

Really she didn't seem worried... when I talked to my brother during Gulf War II in 1991 he was very worried... in the end the Iraqis only fired regular missiles at them... and now maybe that contributes to a lack of panic.

Regarding Iran. They have been referred to the Security Council. Their much denied nuclear amibitions are being taken seriously. Every silly statement by Ahmedinejad isn't.

Whoop! Well, NOW you are talking. Hizballah in Lebanon is a state within a state -- and it happens to be an openly terrorist state. This is not acceptable - and I am sure not something that the Lebanese prefer. Hopefully, they get weakened enough so the Lebanese can reclaim control.

The problem is that if Israel does invade they may push it so far that this ideal situation can't happen...

In an ideal world the Lebanese and Israelis would have been negotiating a deal on the international border and prisoner exchange. Noone expects them to have friendly relations with Israel but we just need a solid border with a reasonable state power on the other side. Of course Syria controlled Lebanon till a year ago and then Hizballah strength in Parliament and Government blocked anything happening... The tragedy just makes me sad...
