I think Cuba could put up a pretty respectable defense against a US invasion. And I wouldn't count on a popular uprising to help.
Not sure about that. They would be being invaded by the US, but the last time that happened they got their freedom from Spain. And they have plenty to be unhappy about. Castroism hasn't exactly been a roaring success.

But the comment wasn't about the example Mr Newt gave, it was about Israel being in the right in their current hostilities.
It was a rather good and apt analogy. Many can be made like that that the people so down on Israel would agree with- -unless the invaded state happens to be Israel. Then they have no rights and are automatically wrong. Idiocy!
