I think the only area that has bred a nation of fanatics is Palestine. The moderates who have any brains have immigrated. The ones who are left consistantly show in polls that 80+% of them think all Jews should be exterminated. They are the product of a nationwide welfare state for the last 40 years, being fed by us and the Euros.

The rest of the area lines up at our consulates for Visas.

The difficult part for many Americans is not seeing the people in those lands marching in the streets and demanding a change in the government.

Good people doing little except keeping their head down while fanatics take over your country is disturbing. The Iranian people have marched in the hundreds of thousands for Komneni, why don't they march for freedom? Why don't they march to have a legitimate electoral process?

In addition, when American troops are dying fighting for the freedom of Arabs in Iraq, where is the support from an average Arab? How much money have the oil sheiks put forth torward the effort? How much verbal support have we seen in the press and so forth?

The problem runs deep. And your average American is getting tired of seeing our military boys and girls being the whipping boy for people in far away lands who are unwilling to take the same risks for freedom they volunteered to take.

Being nice and doing nothing is no virtue when your neighbor is living in tyranny. Sometimes you have to be mean, pick up a rifle and join a freedom underground group. Sometimes you have to use your fed up mean voice and organize a march in the streets.

More Arabs marched about a cartoon then have marched in support of freedom in Iraq or Afghanistan.

I can only speak of my own feelings, but if what you say is true, why are they not marching in the street and shouting down these loons? Until I see people in that area marching for freedom rather then marching because a cartoon offended Mohammad then I'm going to continue to wish that we nuked the entire area.

Sorry.
