I am thinking that our 30k + troops on the border are more of a destabilizing factor than not. We have soldiers at risk every day protecting the South who no longer should need us there. Instead of a tripwire they provide a flash point for an automatic wider war. SK does not appear to be all that worried by the NK nutjob. You might say thats because of the US presence but if so that makes our presence more dangerous. SK, Japan and China are all regional powers. They need to lead the way in checking NK. Our only reason for being involved is to prevent proliferation of nukes and missiles. With our physical presence gone, would even crazy Kim want to piss off their neigbors by spreading nuke tech?? Just a thought Hawk. I know how important our troops were once in saving and nurturing a successful SK. But shit happens and things change..
