This is a new chapter in Israeli history. The nature of the times is profoundly perilous and the dynamic of the threat is highly complex. There will be no bloodless way through it.

Some countries had bloodless ways through abolition of slavery - that was not the USA's path though eh?

As for myself, I stopped all the Monday quarterbacking of the Olmert government yesterday and decided that Israel must now be supported. There's no turning back from here.

The same way Bush must be supported in the USA no matter the consequences eh? He is strong on terrorism right Mish - that trumps every other issue no? Frankly Mish - you present article after article talking about the consumer slowdown - when j5p (can't afford 6 anymore) goes further and further into the hole - I just don't see him carving a path to washington to give more money or support to Israel for bloody wars. Israel may lose all her support in the near future. The mobile intel pentiums were OK and saved energy I suppose - but how much more can oprah afford to subsidize the Israel lobby in congress? If the politicos wanted to keep the region destabilized so no mass congregation of middle easterns would strangle oil and keep the prices down - seems they have failed on that goal eh? My oil prices up.
