this is a good forum because it allows us to think out loud.... ie, Israel knows it will never be able to live in peace with the Arabs, that is a foregone conclusion... so what is the answer to living in the ME for the Jews...???? I think the Jews honestly believe they can survive in the ME as long as they remain the predominant military force in the region..wishfully believing that accommodation with the Arabs will someday come.....wishful thinking. IMO the Jews have to become more ruthless, more clandestine, more forceful or they will eventually be eliminated by the stronger tribes....employing unsophisticated warfare... it remains Tribal...

Clinton did a great job bringing peace to Israel. He almost succeeded, worked very hard at it. What killed it was a few nuts on the far fringes who depend on war for their power and money. But Clinton did an amazing job. Carter also did very well on that, getting the process started. Bush has been almost totally AWOL on solving the underlying causes of the trouble in Israel. And his great blunders in Iraq have made Iran and all the others much more dangerous and hostile to us. It's really FUBAR and it's largely Bush's fault.
