Someday, when people get serious about the CIA failures from the period about 1990-2001, we will hear this question again and again....We have asked it here on PfP, and Hitchens has asked it again..... What was the : CIA thinking of, sending a partisan amateur to investigate his own friends at the suggestion of his wife?) Is this but just an example of how the CIA at every level was run? If so, it is a really good/BAD example of why 9-11 happened, and we were so far off guard.... The rats were running the chicken house.
