My Dad was in the Marines, dummy. Fought in WWII. I'm the American Spirit. My family is all-American as they get.

I have numerous friends who served in combat, including my new friend Colonel Rick.

I might have served in combat too if I'd been a few years older. Though in the early 70's I told myself if I were drafted I'd join the CIA instead. I am not a chickenhawk draft-dodger type. I would fight for my country. But I would also be the first one to criticize a stupid poorly planned war which is hurting our country and getting people killed for no good reason.

Colonel Rick is not alone. Most active military personnel now see Bush's war as FUBAR.
