Freaky indeed, but I bet our serial numbers are not too far apart!

Bottom line though, knowing the systemic industry wide battery problems, I'd be shocked if Steve didn't negotiate an out.

Simply put, IMHO, no way is Apple going to get stiffed for crap batteries in its laptops.

Contact Apple, seems they've been aware of the early MBP battery problems for quite a while, and will ship you a replacement:
