Religious/ethnic extremism is the root of most evil, along with our addiction to oil. Those are the two causes. Bush's religious rightwing base is also guilty of that kind of extremism. They want Armageddon. They have very dangerous and delusional fantasies. So don't just fear Islamic nuts, fear so-called "Christian" ones too. And Zionists. Anyone who wants war, those are the ones to fear. Religious extremism, nationalistic egomania and racism are responsible for most of the wars in history. And there has never been a good war. Only a few necessary ones after one country has been attacked. Bush's war in Iraq was not only not necessary, but was unsound, costly and destabilizing. It is largely responsible for the eruptions of violence we see now in other parts of the Middle East.
