"Force peace"? You and whose army?

Try looking at it from an Israeli point of view for once. You have an armed quasi-state actor (at the moment Hizbullah acts more like a state than does Lebanon) sitting on your border with over 10,000 rockets. He doesn't leave you alone, but keeps firing at you, leading to exchanges over the border. Now he decided to show solidarity with Gaza and attack, kill and kidnap some of your soldiers on YOUR side of the border. BTW, his avowed aim is to wipe you off the map and kill all your people (broadcast worldwide on his very own TV station), and he has a powerful and soon to be nuclear armed patron who pays him $100 million a year to buy his toys and shares the same avowed aims.

Would YOU think this situation can be settled with a little diplomatic jaw-jaw, or would you declare that you're not playing by these rules anymore, they have got to change? and since they're not going to change volutarily, you have to change them by force.

One lesson the Jews learned from the 20th century is, when somebody says he intends to wipe you out, take him seriously.
