Kerry did two tours of duty. His combat leadership was exceptional. He intiated the new Swiftboat strategy to steer INTO enemy fire and destroy the enemy rather than running away from it as had previously been done. In fact, when he leapt off the boat to go after the VC rocket-launcher to save his boat then killed the VC, his CO's first impulse was to discipline him for leaving his boat. Then he realized how outstanding it was and recommended him for the Silver Star. In his four months on the Mekong he made a big difference. He also killed a lot of enemy, saved several US lives and took three combat wounds. Got a problem with that, Sissybushboy?
