Would people be more inclined to own music and less a video?

Many of us have disparaged music rental/subscription - can we feel the same for video?

I guess rental was the best Apple could do with the movie industry...

However with video you're not getting far from the best quality (w/video iPod); with music while not the best it is pretty close (and most people don't appreciate the difference between CD & AAC anyhow) so perhaps this model will work?

Movie rentals?

Hopefully that won't be the case... I can't see many people getting terribly excited to spend a more significant amount of time and money to download a movie (at rather poor resolution no less) for the privilege of a rental. Then again, I thought it was nuts to think there was a market for ringtones...
