I believe that this marks the end of Blair as PM.

Suggesting that Syria should press Hizballah to "stop this shit" makes plenty of sense.

If you buy the story that israel is invading Lebanon because two Israeli soldiers were apprehended, you lack discernment or else have dual-loyalities.

First, there are conflicting stories about the location of the soldiers. It is possible, and even likely, that they were inside lebanon.

Secondly, what Israel is accusing Lebanon of doing Israel herself has done to the West Bank for 40 years, only infinitely worse. The Israelis have invaded and occupied the West Bank, have destroyed the Palestinians' means of livelihood, have murdered Palestinians for political gain with callus indifference to innocent people hurt in the process, and seem to be trying to force Palestinians to the status of helots --- all while accusing them of being "terrorists." A higher degree of hypocrisy is simply not possible.

Thirdly, a complicated bombing campaign, such as Israel is waging against Lebanon, requires planning, which means: the present invasion was organized long ago. As for the two soldiers --- that is Gulf of Tonkin stuff.

Israel is a place that is dark, ugly and deeply immoral. Our uncritical support not only pulls us down into their level BUT IS NOT IN THEIR INTEREST. If our boy-prostitute of a president actually cared about the people of israel, he would stand up to the government, and force a settlement, or abandon them so that they would actually have to pay for the consequences of their own decisions.

The number one task we face as Americans is to recapture own government, and run it in a way that reflects our interests.

Poodle Dog skinowski Poodle Dog

You miss the complete point of the article. The article was telling how the British papers have jumped all over Blair to reinforce the point that he is a lap dog for Bush. You need to understand from the British point of view.
