Only a fool gets stuck in quicksand and digs himself in deeper. That is exactly what Bush-cheney have been doing in Iraq. Redeploying and defusing Iraq is a very good idea, but admittedly, Bush-cheney have created such a mess that to some degree we are damned if we do or don't.

Kerry was 100% right about Iraq from the beginning, except that he should never have trusted Bush-Cheney's promises or the phony intel they were feeding congress.

Even more important than politics now is the fact that our military needs a good long break to relax, rebuild and re-equip. Our military has been severely degraded in Iraq and Bush-cheney offer no end in sight. To what end? What can we acomplish by staying their source? It looks very grim. Only Halliburton won that war. Halliburton and maybe Al Qaida too.

Al, pretty bold promises from Kerry, but the guy would have flipped once the going got tough.

Well, look it's easy to say such things about the guy who didn't get a chance...meantime the man in the office didn't even make any similar proposal for more than 4 years in office and now has fizzled into complete inactivity. I think that's how they beat kerry in the election...level charges, spread innuendo, make a man who went to went to war look like a coward...
