that amazon 1-2 day white model is redirected to JR, I know about that. JR is the only shop that has any whites at all. I have been reading the AAPL tech forums like AppleInsider and I don't see anything about production halts on the white models, and since the blacks are coming in strongly now (with 1000 available in local warehouses as of yesterday) there can't be anything wrong with the insides of the Macbooks- the only possible culprit is the white plastic casing- but for gods sake Apple has been building ibooks for how long, just use that supplier or whoever makes the shuffle! I've had one of the first shuffles for years and it is white as snow even though I have sweat all over it and gone running with it in my socks! Plastic casing is not the hardest thing to procure in the PC business. My guess now is that when faced with 3x the demand that they can supply, apple decided to build all black models first, leaving whites for later. The macbook peripheral batteries are backordered everywhere as well as the magsafe adapters- NONE. Can anybody tell me if the Apple stores have the white macbooks (both models) in stock?
